St. Hyacinth Basilica Designated as a Pilgrimage Site in Chicago
We are thrilled to welcome Jubilee Year 2025—a season of grace, renewal, and celebration for Catholics worldwide! Declared by Pope Francis, this extraordinary Jubilee invites us to reflect on God’s endless mercy and recommit ourselves to living out the Gospel every day. In the Archdiocese of Chicago, we will join the Universal Church in both prayer and pilgrimage throughout the year. Cardinal Cupich marked the local beginning of the Jubilee Year with a special Mass at Holy Name Cathedral on December 29, 2024, at 12:30 p.m. From December 29, 2024, to December 28, 2025, everyone is encouraged to participate by visiting designated pilgrimage sites.
St. Hyacinth Basilica is proud to have been chosen as one of 25 pilgrimage sites in the Archdiocese of Chicago for this Jubilee Year of Hope. For additional details about this significant year and upcoming events in our area, please click the links below.
If your parish or group is interested in scheduling a tour or attending Mass together, please contact the parish office for more information.

We invite everyone to collect a complimentary Pilgrimage Passport from a table set up on the front left side, in front of the basilica’s altar. There’s also a booklet available, that highlights several local pilgrimage sites and includes space to gather stamps and stickers from your visits!
Take this chance to explore and pray at the many inspiring Catholic sites throughout the Chicago area—and even across the country. Check out the lists and maps below for more details.
